Surf club ca'Tito

Surf Club is located on Boa Vista island, Cabo Verde. The building has been situated directly on a sandy beach, where only prefabricated service facilities for daily usage for tourists (such as sport facilities, restaurants, shops?) are allowed to be built. In the building, there is a place for renting out surf equipment, a restaurant, a shop with local products and two apartments in the first floor. The entire structure (750 m2) is made out of wood. Due to the tide, it has been elevated on wooden piles on concrete foundations. The design of the building is in subordinate role to it?s function and local characteristics of the area ? strong winds, vicinity of the ocean, salty atmosphere, high UV index?
