The new architectural elements needed for the revitalisation of the castle complex are designed in a uniform fashion with the use of a narrow range of contemporary sustainable materials. These are treated with new technologies in a discreet manner preventing the new elements from clashing with the architectural heritage.

The stair banisters are transparent and made of stainless steel (since 1980) in order not to block the view.

The staircases are made of stainless steel and cast iron steps, and shifted away from the old walls throughout the castle. They are hung or self-supporting.

The pavements in the courtyard are uniform and sustainable, made of stone and granite cubes in three compatible widths while the indoor floorings are from ashen lamellae featuring various patterns.

The door design indicates the original building techniques. The doors are also made of Corten or stainless steel and wood.
